He escaped to a remote island 1,500 miles off Australia’s shoreline with his dog and became fully self-sufficient: fishing, brewing beer and growing his own vegetables. The Queensland Supreme Court (Glasheen’s Lessor) is attempting to repossess the island oasis due to a breach of contract arising from a land use clause directed at tourism. The Sidney Morning Herald wrote a piece on the issue called The Last Days of Eden.
