The real life Robinson Crusoe, David Glasheen (ex-Wall Street business man and millionaire) left the realms of modern society after the market crashed in 1987. He escaped to a remote island 1,500 miles off Australia’s shoreline with his dog and became fully self-sufficient: fishing, brewing beer and growing his own vegetables. The Queensland Supreme Court (Glasheen’s Lessor) is attempting to repossess the island oasis due to a breach of contract arising from a land use clause directed at tourism.
