Zynga Layoffs Hit Boston, Austin & Chicago Offices

  • Zynga, a game creator that was founded in 2007, layed off about 100 employees from its Boston, Austin and Chicago offices today.
  • The entire Boston office will be shut down (50 employees). Employees of the Austin office will have the option to transfer to San Francisco.
  • The company has about $1.6 billion in cash. Shares of Zynga (ZNGA) closed down 5.17% to $2.20.
